These terms apply to your use of the Sofistike website. Please read them before you send a request.
Who we are

What the website is
The website shows hand-painted pieces and lets you send a request for a piece of your own. It is not an online shop: there is no cart and no payment is made through the website.
A request is not an order
The contact form is a request for a proposal and a price. Sending it does not bind you or us, and it is not an order or a contract. The automatic confirmation you receive only shows that the request arrived.
An agreement is made when we agree in writing (for example by email or message) on the design, the price and the delivery time, and on anything else the proposal includes, such as a deposit. Sofia may decline a request, for example if she cannot make it in the time you ask for, or if it involves designs protected by the rights of others.
Copyright
The designs, paintings, photographs, texts and logo of the website are works of Sofia Kyriakou or are used with permission, and are protected by intellectual property law, both Cypriot and European.
You may not copy, reproduce, change, publish or use them commercially, or reproduce the designs on other products, without written permission. You may share a link to the website.
When you order a piece, you own the piece you receive. The copyright in the design stays with Sofia unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If you send photos or designs as a reference, you confirm that you have the right to use them and that they do not infringe the rights of others. We use them only to answer your request.
Liability
We take care that the information on the website is correct and up to date, but the website is provided “as is”: we do not promise that it will work without interruptions or errors. Colours and photos are indicative and may look different depending on your screen.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website or from not being able to use it. Liability that cannot be excluded by law, and your rights as a consumer, are not limited.
The website links to our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the content or the terms of other sites.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Cypriot law, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you do not lose the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms. The version published here, with its date at the top, always applies.
